Rincon Research Corporation seeks a Hardware Design Engineer who is a self-starting individual with a passion for developing electronic circuits and systems. Example projects include: digital circuits with FPGAs, embedded processors, RF circuits, mixed-signal circuits with analog to digital conversion, etc. This individual will work in a small team environment to develop hardware systems that require the design, layout, and integration of digital logic and/or digital circuitry, including state-of-the-art FPGA and other emerging technologies. Other team members include algorithm developers, technicians, mechanical engineers, embedded software engineers, GUI designers, and FPGA firmware developers.

What required background will make you successful?
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other equivalent field of discipline
- Ability to generate schematics for high-performance and mixed-signal circuit boards
- Ability to guide and support all aspects of PCB layout, fabrication and assembly processes
- Ability to generate procedures, scripts, and documentation used for production and test environments
- Experience in a lab environment using test equipment like spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes
- Ability to contribute to independent research and development (IRaD) and one-of-a-kind developments for deployment as field released prototypes
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Preferred skills:
- Master's degree Electrical Engineering or other equivalent field of discipline
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python
- 0-3 years of PCB and hardware design experience
- Experience with Altium Designer and Vault/Concord
- Experience with RF and analog circuit design, as well as RF test equipment
- Working knowledge of high-speed digital interfaces such as PCI Express, DDR4/5 SDRAM, 10/100Gb Ethernet, USB3, and JESD 204
