Position Overview
The Commissioning Support Manager will provide technical expertise and resources for supporting project commissioning at both the home office and field locations. In this role, you will be reporting to the Director of Commissioning. You will be responsible for interfacing between design teams, project sites, shop surveillance professionals, corporate offices, and clients. The Commissioning Support Manager may be assigned to multiple projects, or complex projects requiring specialized commissioning expertise.

The Commissioning Support Manager will provide technical expertise and resources for supporting project commissioning at both the home office and field locations. The Commissioning Support Manager may be assigned to multiple projects, or complex projects requiring specialized commissioning expertise.
Responsibilities
- Familiar with and adheres to the Gemma Core Values and enforces company policies.
- Provides technical commissioning expertise and advice to support project objectives.
- Leads the development of Commissioning Standards, project planning, execution and close out under the direction of the Director of Commissioning.
- Supports project planning including proposals, staffing, forecasting and progress monitoring.
- Assists with policy development, development of commissioning specifications, and commissioning process improvement.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of Gemma Commissioning Standards and assists with implementation at the jobsites.
- Participates in supplier Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) as required.
- Reviews design specifications, drawings, and test plans to ensure minimum field changes are required for commissioning.
- Supports Gemma's OJT (on-the-job training) and intern programs.
- Assists the Project Warranty Manager in the execution of project warranty coverage.
- Assumes field commissioning duties as determined necessary by the Director of Commissioning.
- Works with the site staff to stay appraised of commissioning progress.

Qualifications
- 4-year degree in an Engineering-related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience working with power systems, power plants, and/or large-scale industrial or renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of commissioning activities & processes for large-scale construction projects.
- Previous experience in leading teams in the execution of commissioning activities and overseeing commissioning personnel.
- Experience interfacing with clients.
- Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) or Associate Commissioning Professional (ACP) certification is a plus.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build meaningful professional relationships and work collaboratively with teams.
- Sharp attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Organized, flexible, and capable of quickly adapting to changing circumstances.
- Willing to participate in relevant continuous education and professional development opportunities.
- Ability to work from heights, climb ladders, enter confined workspaces and work in harsh weather environments when at project sites.
- Must be willing and able to work shifts including day, night, or swing shifts, up to 16 hours a day if needed.
- Occasional travel to project sites and manufacturer shops required.
