Job Title: RN Case Manager

Description:
Case Managers provide care for patients in all acute care departments.
The RN Case Manager will most likely remain in the same area during their contract, pending new hires.
Typically, travelers are not required to float to multiple areas during their contract.
Patient ratios are 1 Case Manager to 16-20 patients.
Support on the unit includes Case Management Assistants, Lead Case Managers, Social Work Complex Psychosocial patient consultants, Utilization Review RNs, and Hospitalists.
The charting system used is EPIC.
Orientation includes 1.5 weeks of facility and unit training along with an EPIC class.
Scheduling includes a weekend rotation, with staff required to work 2 weekends per 13-week assignment.
Typical staffing support during the weekend includes 3 RN Case Managers, 1 Social Worker, 1 Lead Case Manager, 1 Case Manager Assistant, and 1 Utilization Review Nurse.
There is no on-call requirement.
Holiday expectations include working 2 out of 4 major holidays.
Approval for time off includes up to 7 days, with an extension required for any full week off, and no requested time off during the Sturgis Bike Rally in August.
The required attire is navy blue scrubs or professional attire.
