About the workplace
As an Analyst, Regulatory Reporting at Vancity, you will play a critical role in providing insightful and informative analytics that drive business decision-making and enhance understanding of regulatory risks. You will develop scenario and baseline forecasts to assess the impact on Vancity's regulatory risk profile, ensuring the organization maintains the capacity to deliver on its business plan.
This is a permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. This role may require you to work on-site at least once a week.

The salary range for this role is $71,500 to $107,300 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

- Provide baseline and/or scenario forecasts, highlighting impact to Vancity's regulatory risk profile enabling capacity to deliver on the business plan.
- Conduct analysis regarding legislated and regulatory guideline changes in order to determine the appropriate regulatory impact for specific scenarios.
- Provide summary analyses, reports and forecasts highlighting changes to corporate regulatory risk metrics to enable decision-making.
- Liaise with internal Treasury and external department stakeholders to obtain necessary inputs for analytics and forecasts.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional accounting designation is an asset.
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly within the context of regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide specialized advice and respond to enquiries.
- Strong research and analytical skills to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis,
You are:
- A professional analyst - you are confident to assess and recommend course of action on regulatory requirements, and able to identify risks and opportunities that may impact the business unit by reviewing information, detecting anomalies, and investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- A great communicator - you can use your communication and interpersonal skills to act as a resource for the specialized area, providing specialized advice, guidance, explanations, and related support.
- An efficient problem solver & decision maker - you diagnose challenges and issues, maintain awareness of emerging trends and gather intelligence related to the specialty; and to recommend application to the specialized area.
