The Team Lead, Integrations & Development will have ownership of the Canadian regional application integration and development portfolio. They will plan, organize and follow up on activities and improvements to the application portfolio and leverage their team of direct reports to do so. They will be accountable for continuously delivering new solutions to drive business value, while also focusing on business-as-usual activities.

The Team Lead, Integrations & Development will have ownership of the Canadian regional application integration and development portfolio. They will plan, organize and follow up on activities and improvements to the application portfolio and leverage their team of direct reports to do so. They will be accountable for continuously delivering new solutions to drive business value, while also focusing on business-as-usual activities.
You will be focusing on:
- Defines and implements best practices for application development and system integrations (including coding standards, design patterns, and testing methodologies).
- Drives technical decision-making, ensuring that the team is using the most appropriate technologies and approaches.
- Stays abreast of the latest technologies and trends and identify opportunities to improve our development processes.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project and initiative delivery.
- Participates in the planning and estimation of development projects.
- Breaks down complex projects into smaller, manageable tasks and assign them to team members.
- Monitors project progress, identify and resolve roadblocks, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Hands-on development of key features and components of applications and integrations.
- Ensures the quality and performance of applications through rigorous testing and code reviews.
- Continuously identifies and implements improvements to our development and integration processes.
- Introduces new technologies and methodologies to improve team efficiency and productivity.
- Acts as a technical resource for all technological matters, whether support or change related, within their assigned technologies.
- Performs business and functional analysis in relation to assigned processes/platforms
- Leads a team of direct reports.
- Supports knowledge transition.
- Provides afterhours call support.
What you bring to the role:
- A Bachelors' Degree with a technology focus, such as Computer Science, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and professional certifications.
- At least 10 years of experience in IT progressing from a developer/integrator/DBA.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in direct line resource management.
- Proven expertise in software development, .NET, SQL, and other integration technologies required.
- Achieved ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experienced in the management of a geographically distributed team of highly technically skilled employees.
- Highly effective at translating complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
- Possesses strong business planning, analytical, and conceptual skills.
- Knowledge of legal industry technologies including document management, practice management, knowledge management and case management systems highly desirable.
- Willingness and flexibility to work non-standard hours as required to support project and support activities.
- Deals effectively with conflict and remains calm under pressure.
