Major Duties:
NMU is responsible for ensuring the availability of reliable, secure, and protected FBI networks, including UNet, FBINet, SCINet, and BlackNet. To manage system performance and provide effective incident response, NMU monitors network components such as routers, switches, firewalls, encryptors, and load balancers. NMU deploys system upgrades to these devices, ensuring the latest security patches and postures are applied. NMU also provides break-fix support to customers experiencing down devices and login issues.

- Lead, supervise and assist unit personnel who are sourcing, scoping, researching, facilitating, and documenting IT requirements. Ensure stakeholders are being properly engaged, division leadership appropriately informed via written and oral briefings, and unit personnel adequately sharing the workload.
- Lead and mentor unit personnel who are assisting customers with technical tasks, including those relating to IT requirements, business process review, and visualizations.
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders inside and outside the Division.
- Receive, review, and analyze incoming projects, assignments, and requests.
- Assign the work taking into consideration factors such as the difficulty of the project, priority of assignment, workload, and capability of the employee.
- Track the progress and ensure that work is completed in a timely manner.
- Act as an advisor to Division personnel to aid in evaluating applicable policies, procedures, and other types of received guidance and direction.
- Draft proposals and plans to address those items and as required oversee the implementation.
