As a Senior Application Programmer, you will play a crucial role in web application development, utilizing C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and HTML to design, maintain, and improve state applications. This is a fully on-site position based in Baton Rouge, LA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, and HTML.
- Design, code, compile, test, debug, and document new and existing web applications.
- Maintain and support existing applications, ensuring system efficiency and performance.
- Perform quality assurance reviews and rigorous testing on new code.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, Agile meetings, and design sessions.
- Provide mentorship, documentation, training, and technical knowledge transfer to state personnel.
- Monitor, review, and audit the performance of the customer-agency's replacement software and implement improvements.
Required Skills & Experience (Mandatory):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in:
- C#
- ASP.NET Core
- Entity Framework
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience working with DPS (Department of Public Safety) projects.
Preferred Skills & Experience (Desirable but Not Mandatory):
- 2+ years of experience in:
- Developing applications in MVC architecture using .NET Core 2.x or 3.x.
- VueJS, Bootstrap, JavaScript.
- SQL Server (T-SQL), SSIS/SSRS.
- Distributed Design Systems (SOA/Microservices).
- DevOps practices (CI/CD).
- Experience with Louisiana's Enterprise Architecture (EA) or state-offered services, such as:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
- Pelican Design System
- State Outlook Integration
- My.La.Gov
- OTS Print Shop Services
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting financial systems.
- Experience working with one or more team resources included in the vendor's TORFR Team response.
- Experience supporting and maintaining systems for federal, state, or local government entities.
