The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of Family Well-Being and Protection, Bureau of Child Protective Services is seeking a Service Area Manager to join our team!

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking an experienced child protective/social services leader who will work to achieve the highest level of services for our clients within the Northern Iowa Service Area which includes 23 counties in North Central Iowa. The position is currently domiciled in Cerro Gordo County but the final location could be negotiable within a full time office in the Northern Iowa Service Area.
The Service Area Manager (Public Service Executive), under the supervision of the Child Protective Services Director, is responsible for efficient and effective provision and delivery of social service programs for some of Iowa's most vulnerable citizens.
Duties include, but are not limited to: management of the department offices and all personnel including the team of Social Work Administrators, Executive Officers and a secretary; support for the development of child welfare/social service resources within the community; timely resolution of service delivery complaints ; creative corrective actions to address deficiencies and process improvement; and collaborate and negotiate services with provider agencies, the county boards of supervisors and various community groups.
