Job Summary The System Engineer is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and maintaining complex systems within power plants. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to optimize plant processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure reliable operations. Candidates should have 5+ years of industrial experience, preferably in paper mills and power plants. Key Responsibilities System Design & Implementation Develop and design control systems, instrumentation, and automation solutions for plant equipment and processes. Work with cross-functional teams and contractors to implement projects. Troubleshooting & Maintenance Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to plant systems, ensuring minimal downtime. Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, and preventive measures to optimize equipment performance. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines. Conduct system evaluations and risk assessments to maintain plant reliability. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred). 5+ years of experience in an industrial environment, with power plant or paper mill experience preferred. Prior experience in industrial automation, control systems, or process engineering. Skills & Expertise Project management and budget projections. Familiarity with P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams). Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
