The Brand Manager is responsible for driving brand strategy, growing brand equity and increasing consumer demand (and consequently, market share) along with the Head of Brand. The Brand Manager plays a leadership role in consumer and retailer marketing initiatives to drive purchase consideration and build demand for assigned brands, resulting in sales and market share growth. This role is accountable for knowing the brand's consumer deeply and leading a 'consumer first' mindset among cross-functional partners to ensure all brand initiatives (marketing, product, etc.) enhance the brand and grow revenue. This role leads marketing planning for assigned brands and leads the brand's consumer communications strategy and oversees execution (advertising, media, creative agencies). The Brand Manager develops the annual Brand Marketing Plan along with the Head of Brand, coordinating with all key team members and functions to ensure proper and timely execution.

- Key Responsibilities:

- Understanding the competitive environment in detail across all channels of distribution.
- Understanding and tracking primary sources of business and brand growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing plans for key initiatives and product launches.
- Developing and applying research-based consumer insights.
- Analyzing, understanding and applying brand metrics and KPIs to decision-making and direction-setting activities.
- Along with the Head of Brand, lead the development and execution of product launch plans, ensuring strong positioning, messaging, and creative execution. Identify opportunities for brand extensions and collaborate with product development teams to drive innovation and expand the brand's product portfolio.
- Lead internal and external agencies in consumer communications & media, inclusive of 'Big Idea' generation, campaign development and overseeing team and agencies in campaign execution across media (heavily digital).
- Owning and driving communication of the Brand Story - internally and externally.
- Writing Creative Briefs
- Lead agency and internal creative services team in the development of new packaging concepts to ensure concepts are consistent with brand objectives and positioning.
- Collaborating with Sales on customer presentations and business opportunities.
- Collaborating with the Head of Brand and other members of the Brand Team on product strategy to ensure brand alignment in conjunction with commercial opportunity.
- Partner closely with sales, and supply chain teams to drive effective retail execution and optimize brand performance. Collaborate with key stakeholders to align marketing strategies with sales goals, demand forecasting, and ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
- Following and driving social media engagement tactics, influencer initiatives, PR, and all other marketing activities for the brand.
- Managing and budgeting Marketing expenditures
- Providing direction, oversight and coaching to other team members, Marketing Services and/or external agencies for aid in executing the Brand Marketing Plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in the Brand Management field, with proven ability to drive impactful results with modest means.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful integrated marketing campaigns, including advertising (TV advertising is a plus) and digital marketing strategies and tactics.
- Requires general experience in other areas of Marketing including engagement with or experience working in product marketing, product development, external creative/media agencies, and/or creative development teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and consumer insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead people effectively, including direct reports or cross-functionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of Meyer employees and vendors.
- Able to give oral presentations and prepare professional presentations utilizing PowerPoint and digital media.
- Detail-oriented and possess conceptual/creative skills.
- Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and establish (and re-establish) priorities for self and team.
- Working knowledge of cooking and/or baking is highly preferred.
- Prior professional experience in budget management.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Google Suite and the Internet.
- Able to communicate effectively in English both in verbal and written formats.
- Must possess the mental and physical capacities to perform the job duties.
