Job Title: Allied Rehabilitation Specialist
Job Specialty: Rehabilitation Services
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8:00AM - 4:30PM, 8-hour days, weekend rotation as needed
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience in Acute Care
License: Current AL Occupational Therapist license
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have:
- Familiarity and/or experience in Acute Care settings
- Ability to evaluate, treat, and manage a caseload independently
- Experience with high acuity and complex patients, including post-surgical and trauma cases
- Willingness to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Team player with efficient and flexible work style
- Comfort in teaching facility settings and working with students
Job Description:
- Manage a diverse caseload of acute care patients, including those with cardiac, orthopedic, trauma, and stroke histories
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services
- Adapt to departmental needs with a flexible schedule, including potential weekend work based on departmental demands
- Assist in maintaining accurate and detailed patient records using the Cerner charting system (experience not required)
- Participate in orientation and training programs to ensure readiness for patient care responsibilities
- Adhere to professional dress code requirements, ensuring a polished appearance
