Key Responsibilities:
  • Unit Forecast Ownership: Own the end-to-end process of daily unit forecasting for Fanatics' eCommerce operations, ensuring the forecast aligns with business goals and targets.
  • Collaborative Forecasting Models: Partner with Merch Planning, Operations Capacity Planning, and Demand Planning teams to develop and refine complex forecasting models that integrate data from multiple sources (NA fulfillment centers, on-demand manufacturing sites, 3rd party partners).
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze historical sales trends, consumer behavior patterns, and inventory levels to generate accurate, actionable insights that inform forecasting processes.
  • Capacity Alignment: Work closely with the Operations Capacity Planning team to align unit forecasts with available fulfillment center capacity, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely order fulfillment.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Regularly track the accuracy and performance of unit forecasts. Report on key performance metrics, trends, and variances, and propose recommendations for continuous improvements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between eCommerce, Merchandising, Operations, and Demand Planning teams to ensure alignment in forecasting practices and business priorities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to streamline the forecasting process, improve forecast accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis & Projects: Support ad-hoc analysis, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational and business growth.


Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, forecasting, or planning roles, preferably within eCommerce or retail environments.
    • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., Merchandising, Operations, Demand Planning).
    • Strong knowledge of supply chain, forecasting methodologies, and capacity planning processes.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, or similar data analysis platforms.
    • Experience with forecasting software or systems (e.g., o9, Oracle, or other enterprise systems) is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Microstrategy) for data visualization and reporting.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
    • Ability to approach forecasting challenges creatively and apply innovative solutions.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
    • Strong presentation skills, able to clearly communicate complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to Detail & Time Management:
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
