Job Description
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) Information Technology (IT) Program Management Office (PMO) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to partner with a diverse team of IT professionals from all disciplines, including cybersecurity, infrastructure, business management, and end-user support. The successful PM will be responsible for leading multiple teams and projects across multiple locations to deploy next-generation information technologies. The PM will work in a technically diverse and dynamic environment with professionals responsible for delivering all aspects of enterprise Information Technology.
Some of the duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Interface with both enterprise IT and business IT support groups to effectively and efficiently communicate and document user needs.
Establish project scope, schedules, work breakdown structure, planning assumptions, and evaluate requests for scope, budget, or schedule changes.
Establish and manage components of Program Management Plans (e.g., risk plan, communications plan, test plan, etc.)
Establish and review project performance metrics and take appropriate actions to correct deviations.
Report and provide solutions for project issues affecting work evolutions.
Develop resource assumptions and work with IT management to ensure resources are allocated to meet project deliverables.

Pay Range
$103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

- Experience as a Project Manager
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Experience with IT technologies
- Exposure to IT services and technical terms
- Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project management software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Ability to oversee multiple tasks and initiatives simultaneously
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills
- Hold Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification
