LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Nyack, NY ($40.00 an Hour)

Location: Nyack, NY

Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Accurately record residents' medical histories.
• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
• Observe residents under treatment to identify progress and side effects of medications.
• Monitor residents' conditions, including fluid intake and output, and document in patient charts.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas, and perform wound care.
• Collect samples for lab testing as needed.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to residents.
• Communicate with residents' families or friends to offer advice, comfort, and discharge instructions.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current NY State LPN License
• BLS Certification
• 1 year of long-term care (LTC) experience; skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience strongly preferred.
