Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Digital Foundational Services to lead and manage the core technology services that power our enterprise. This role is responsible for overseeing foundational systems from the operating system up, including applications, performance databases, web servers, collaboration tools, and Active Directory solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership experience in managing large teams and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee foundational digital services, ensuring seamless operation and performance of core systems.
  • Manage a shared services team within a Fortune 200 company, overseeing a budget of over $100 million.
  • Develop and drive a service-oriented organizational model that empowers individual contributors as service owners, promoting agility and decentralized decision-making.
  • Ensure seamless integration and performance of enterprise technology infrastructure, including collaboration platforms, database systems, and digital services.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align IT strategies with organizational objectives and drive cultural transformation within the technology division.
  • Lead large-scale technology teams, fostering a high-performance culture that balances operational excellence with innovation.
  • Drive operational efficiencies and enhance service delivery through strategic planning and process improvements.
  • Provide oversight of IT governance and risk management for foundational digital services.
  • Develop and manage technology roadmaps, ensuring scalability and future readiness of digital services.
  • Guide teams through complex, enterprise-wide projects, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business goals.


Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in IT leadership roles with a focus on enterprise infrastructure, digital services, or foundational technology.
  • Strong track record of managing large teams and multi-million-dollar budgets within a shared services model.
  • Deep technical expertise in enterprise technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, collaboration platforms, and databases.
  • Experience working in a customer/end-user environment rather than consulting roles, with a strong focus on delivering user-centric technology solutions.
  • Proven ability to drive cultural and organizational change, implementing a service-oriented model that empowers teams.
  • Strong strategic mindset, with the ability to balance innovation with operational excellence.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leadership and aligning IT initiatives with business priorities.
  • Knowledge of modern workplace technologies, including cloud solutions and endpoint management.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in large, complex organizations with global reach.
  • Understanding of organic change management and experience in scaling operations effectively.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.
