Overview
Responsible for coordinating and leading the delivery of patient centered care and professional nursing practice by overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of the UFHealth Shands Endoscopy Center. Responsible for the daily operations by ensuring and monitoring appropriate staffing levels, inventory management, financial indicators, and customer service standards. Responsible for developing and managing departmental policies and procedures; budget preparation and financial performance, staffing schedules, customer service initiatives and quality improvement and patient safety. Responsible for orientation, training, and education; hiring, evaluating, coaching, corrective action, and facilitating a just culture. Accountable for strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and revision of systems that support professional practice and achieve the departmental and organizational goals. 24 hour accountability for department.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Current RN license in state of Florida. Master's degree in Nursing required. Consideration will be given to those currently enrolled in formal education to obtain MSN. National nursing certification required within six months of hire. Minimum of five years professional nursing practice experience required, with three years GI procedural experience/clinical specialty. Demonstrates autonomous and accountable nursing practice with knowledge and application of patient care outcomes management. Demonstrates excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to influence staff's knowledge and application of evidence-based practice. Demonstrates ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes. Demonstrated leadership and management skills with knowledge and application of advanced professional nursing practice, nursing care delivery models, health care delivery systems, and budgetary process. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida.
