Job Description
Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Radiologic Technologist
Job Specialty: Radiologic Technologist
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift:
Monday-Friday: 3 PM - 11 PM
Thursday-Wednesday: 11 PM - 7 AM
Saturday-Sunday: 7 PM - 7 AM, 36 hours per payroll period
Day shift: Monday-Friday, rotating weekends
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: ND Medical Imaging License (North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners) prior to the start date. Temporary ND license accepted prior to start.
Certifications:
Radiographer (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) within 6 months of start
Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) within 90 days of start date
Must-Have:
Understanding of Computer Radiology (CR) and Digital Radiography (DR) principles.
Ability to select proper technical factors and operate equipment to produce quality radiographs.
Job Description:
- Educates patients on radiology procedures and ensures their comfort and safety.
- Performs all radiographic procedures and monitors patient status.
- Utilizes all radiation safety devices, ensuring the quality and completeness of images according to standard operating procedures.
- Prepares and administers IV and oral contrast under the direction of a Radiologist or Radiologist Assistant.
- Provides individualized patient care and education to optimize understanding within the scope of responsibility.
- Ensures prior images are available and completes all electronic medical record processes.
- Performs pain assessment and takes appropriate actions as per standard procedures.
- Completes other duties as assigned to meet department and organizational needs.
