Responsibilities
Team Introduction:
The TikTok Product - Privacy and Responsibility team builds industry-leading solutions in user privacy, minor protection, transparency, and social responsibility. We design and develop features that integrate regulatory and compliance requirements with engaging, user-centric experiences, ensuring a safe, trustworthy, and enjoyable platform for our global community.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of product strategies that enhance user and stakeholders trust of TikTok platform.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, research, legal, comms) to identify user needs and translate them into innovative product solutions.
- Drive the design and implementation of features that provide users with clear explanations of content recommendations, accessible tools for adjusting their experience, and opportunities for meaningful feedback.
- Champion user-centric design principles and ensure that transparency initiatives are seamlessly integrated into the user experience.
- Monitor and analyze product performance, user feedback, and industry trends to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of building and launching successful consumer-facing products.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse, global teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data to inform product decisions.
- Passion for building user-centric products that prioritize transparency, responsibility, and user empowerment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with or strong interest in online safety, digital wellbeing, or related areas.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry best practices related to transparency and user control in online platforms.
- Experience conducting user research and incorporating user feedback into product development.
