About the Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will clean sheet design novel components of our spacecraft reflector system, and take them through to on-orbit operations. You will be responsible for every step in the process, working closely with Manufacturing. Ideal candidates will have experience with building space components, and working with very thin fabric materials.

About the Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will clean sheet design novel components of our spacecraft reflector system, and take them through to on-orbit operations. You will be responsible for every step in the process, working closely with Manufacturing. Responsibilities
- Deliver flight-ready critical spacecraft components
- Contribute to the overall design of a reliable deployable reflector system that can attain extreme flatness in orbit
- Take hardware and mechanisms from conceptual design through qualification to on-orbit operations
- Correlate analysis of your components to ensure reliability in the space environment
- Experience designing structures with very thin fabrics, especially in space, such as solar sails
- You have owned spacecraft components from clean-sheet to spaceflight
- Extensive CAD experience
- You know what tolerances the machine shop can hit without needing to ask them
- You have strong experience collaboratively designing complex interdependent systems
