The School
The role is within our School of Applied Science and Technology. The departments within the School are located on our Grande Prairie campus and our Fairview campus. The School offers a variety of programming in Science, Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Animal Sciences. Through this programming, we offer a variety of certificates, diplomas, university transfer courses, as well as a degree in computing science.
The Role
The Department of Science invites applications for a Computing Science Instructor position. The expected start date is August 15, 2025. Candidates considered for the tenure-track position must have a MSc in Computing Science with a preference for a PhD in Computing Science.
In Fall 2023, the Bachelor of Computing Science degree program began. Additionally, NWP offers Computer Systems Technology Certificate, Computer Systems Technology Diploma, and Bachelor of Computing Science University Transfer programs. Reporting to the Dean of Science and Applied Technology, we are looking for faculty to teach across all computing science programs. NWP recently renovated and upgraded our robotics and computing science labs, providing an innovative learning environment for faculty and students.
In accordance with the Academic Staff Association Agreement, tenure-track faculty member positions are full-time positions offering a comprehensive benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications within the range of $76,917 to $100,941 and up to $129,134.
