Description:

The Canada Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing all sales activities within Canada. This includes selling directly to industrial distributors and managing manufacturer representative groups who sell to distributors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive sales growth in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
  • Manage and support a team of manufacturer representatives to ensure they meet their sales objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors and customers.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Provide training and support to the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to represent the company and network with potential clients.
  • Maintain daily records of leads and opportunities in our customer relationship management system, MS Dynamics.
  • Accurately prepare information regarding orders, credits, correspondence, and all other forms of communication.
  • Attend sales meetings and product trainings.
  • Coordinate communications with other operations for proper handling of customer accounts, such as all warehouse areas, customs, invoicing, purchasing, and accounts receivable.
  • Assist in development of new items through customer surveys, market evaluations and through analysis of existing competitors in PPE market to evaluate strengths and weakness of product line with respect to established competitors.
  • Maintain positive attitude and open-line of communication with co-workers and customers both internal and external.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position requires frequent travel within Canada to meet with distributors and attend industry events.
  • The role may involve working outside of regular business hours to accommodate client meetings and events.
  • Travel: 75%
  • Office: 25%


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the personal protective equipment industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel within North America as required.
