Description
The Deputy Executive Officer, Program Management supports the Program Control and Administration department supervising the program control section. Responsible for maintaining department procedures, conducting periodic project control discipline process reviews and incorporating lessons learned. Responsible for project controls training of all disciplines. Responsible for program control dashboards and enterprise portfolio reporting.

Description
The Deputy Executive Officer, Program Management supports the Program Control and Administration department supervising the program control section. - Monitors activities of assigned departments to ensure conformance with goals and objectives of reporting unit and eliminate impediments to peak performance
- Develops or oversees the development of policies and procedures for assigned departments
- Establishes and monitors short-range and long-range goals, budgets, schedules, and strategies
- Analyzes and develops appropriate cost engineering, scheduling, and estimating staffing levels within engineering management and construction management contracts
- Negotiates and manages consultant contracts; monitors and evaluates work of consultants, contract personnel, and vendors
- Briefs executive staff and the Board of Directors as necessary
- Directs activities involving program management oversight of major capital projects
- Represents Metro at meetings, conferences, and public events
- Chairs and participates in various committees and task forces
- Directs the conducting of studies, investigations, and analyses at the direction of executive staff and Board of Directors, including reports of findings and recommendations
- Researches industry trends that could impact project outcomes
- Supervises, trains, mentors, and motivates assigned staff
- Communicates Metro's safety vision and goals; oversees the implementation of agency and departmental safety rules, policies, and procedures; and maintains accountability for safety performance of all assigned employees
