Total Loss Adjuster

Tesla is seeking a skilled and experienced Total Loss Adjuster to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling the total loss portion of the claim by preparing the necessary correspondence for the insureds, claimants, and their legal representatives with a focus on accuracy of settlements.

Responsibilities

• Ability to explain the total loss process and necessary next steps toward settlement
• Review evaluation documents to ensure accuracy and compliance for regulatory requirements
• Strong negotiation skills when handling storage and other fees on total loss vehicles
• Handling settlements with insured, claimants, and/or legal representatives
• Effectively communicate with compassion via phone call throughout the total loss process
• Monitor title procurement to ensure timely processing of documents and issuing payment
• Oversee salvage process to ensure vehicle sells in a timely manner

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience as a claims adjuster or auto damage appraiser with an insurance company
• Experience with major estimating software
• Effective organizational skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to complete work individually or in a team atmosphere
• Onsite presence is required everyday

Expected Compensation

$60,000 - $102,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
