Position: Director of LIFESIGNS
Supervisor: Chief Executive Officer
Location: GLAD (Los Angeles)
Classification: Exempt, 100% FTE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of LIFESIGNS:
Oversees the LIFESIGNS department Attends and participates in a wide range of activities promoting and marketing LIFESIGNS to the local community. Works closely with the LIFESIGNS Operations Manager in the areas of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Works closely with the LIFESIGNS Account Manager to develop interpreting contracts, submit bids, recruit interpreters and update customer contracts. Advises CEO on potential bids and customer contracts. Works closely with the CEO on pricing. Handles all incoming and outgoing correspondence Prepares reports as requested by the CEO Attends public workshops to benefit the LIFESIGNS Department Reports to the CEO on operations and activities on a weekly basis Performs such tasks and responsibilities as may be delegated.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and fluency in American Sign Language are required. Experience as an ASL Interpreter is highly desirable. Must have background knowledge of various laws and programs benefiting and protecting the rights of deaf persons, such as Department of Rehabilitation regulations and Social Security policies, ADA, etc. At least three (3) years of supervisory experience Must possess the ability to function in a team environment and be a resourceful team player. Must be a flexible self-starter and detail oriented with strong organizational skills, written communication skills; well versed in public presentations, the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, sometimes with competing deadlines. Must be able to handle confidential situations; be able to work independently, take initiative and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to perform professionally. Punctuality and reliability are a must. Have excellent interpersonal skills, and be capable of maintaining a cooperative relationship with co-employees, directors, employers, community members, other agencies and the CEO. Must have reliable transportation

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 yearly ($52.88 - $57.69 hourly)
