Position Overview
The Sr. Loan Administrator and Loan Closer plays a critical role in our loan administration
department, managing the full lifecycle of complex loan transactions from origination through
closing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with acquisition, construction, and
permanent loan financing in the affordable housing sector.
Salary Range
$120,000 - $135,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the loan closing process for acquisition, construction, and permanent financing
transactions
Manage a small team of loan administrators to review the thoroughness and accuracy of
work and completeness of the loan closing file
Review Century loan documents and conditions to ensure Century's interests are
protected, including collateral and recording priority, while working closely with the in
house legal team
Review and analyze loan documentation, funding worksheets, and third-party reports to
ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with borrowers, escrow and title companies, site inspectors, and financial
institutions to facilitate smooth and timely loan closings
Manage construction disbursement requests and loan draw processes
Evaluate and mitigate potential risks in loan transactions through thorough due diligence
Prepare and review loan closing packages for funding authorization
Maintain accurate and complete loan documentation for compliance and audit purposes
Generate reports for governmental entities, investors, and internal stakeholders
Participate in process improvement initiatives for loan administration operations
Assist in training and mentoring junior loan administration staffQualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business administration, or related field
Minimum 7 years of experience in loan administration and closing, with specific expertise in
acquisition, construction, and permanent loan financing
Oversee and manage a closing team and provide clear direction while maintaining high
standards, and the accurate and thorough review of all documents needed to close.
Demonstrated knowledge of affordable housing finance, including LIHTC, public funding
sources, and financial institutions
Strong understanding of real estate documentation, title review, and escrow processes
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously with accuracy and
efficiency
Preferred
Housing Development Finance Professional Certification
Notary Public certification
Experience with Low Income Tax Credit Housing
Knowledge of affordable housing compliance regulations
Familiarity with government loan programs (HCD, FHLBSF, GSAF, AHP)
Background in loan workout strategies and risk mitigation
