We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Head of Enterprise Data Management to join the Enterprise Data Management team.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

YOUR ROLE.

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Chief Data Officer to lead our organization's data strategy and drive data-enabled business transformation. The ideal candidate will combine strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in modern data architectures, artificial intelligence, and data governance. The ideal candidate will be both a visionary leader and a hands-on practitioner who can roll up their sleeves when needed to guide technical decisions and mentor team members.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Develop and execute enterprise-wide data strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Map the CohnReznick "data estate" across business service lines; responsible for identifying the key data sources, key data entities, data flows between main systems and potential owners.
  • Establish the "single source of data" for key data entities and approach for updates/refreshes.
  • Design the future architecture of Data Lake based on Azure Cloud services + tools such as Microsoft Data Fabric, Purview etc.
  • Lead the AI tech review council for tech due diligence of AI solutions.
  • Drive the organization's AI/ML initiatives, including oversight of model development, deployment, and MLOps practices.
  • Lead the Enterprise Reporting function based on PowerBI; expert level experience expected.
  • Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks, including data quality, privacy, and security standards.
  • Lead master data management (MDM) initiatives to ensure consistent, high-quality data across the enterprise.
  • Guide the selection and implementation of data integration solutions and data platforms.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams across data engineering, data science, and analytics functions.
  • Collaborate with C-suite executives to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and business value creation.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and industry standards.
  • Drive data literacy and foster a data-driven culture throughout the organization.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in data and analytics leadership roles.
  • Proven hands-on technical expertise in:
    • Enterprise data architecture design and implementation.
    • Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and practices.
    • Data integration and ETL/ELT processes.
    • AI/ML model development and deployment.
    • MLOps practices and tools.
    • Data privacy and security frameworks.
  • Track record of successfully leading large-scale data transformation initiatives.
  • Experience implementing and scaling AI/ML solutions in production environments.
  • Deep understanding of data governance principles and privacy regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of modern data stack, including cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Technical Skills
  • Data Architecture: Experience with modern data architectures (Data Mesh, Data Fabric, Lake House)
  • Data Integration: Expertise in ETL/ELT tools and real-time data integration patterns
  • MDM: Hands-on experience with MDM platforms and data quality tools
  • AI/ML: practical experience with machine learning frameworks and MLOps tools
  • Data Privacy: Knowledge of privacy-preserving technologies and compliance frameworks
  • Cloud Platforms: Proficiency with major cloud providers' data services
  • Programming: Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and data engineering tools

Leadership Competencies
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to translate business strategy into data and technology initiatives.
  • Executive Presence: Strong communication skills to influence C-level stakeholders.
  • Change Management: Experience leading organizational transformation.
  • Team Building: Track record of building and developing high-performing technical teams
  • Innovation: Demonstrated ability to drive technological innovation and adoption
