We are seeking a dynamic and creative Lead Photographer to drive the visual storytelling of our brand across eCommerce and marketing platforms. In this role, you will lead all aspects of photography, from concept development and shoot execution to post-production, ensuring high-quality, compelling imagery that aligns with our brand identity. You will collaborate closely with our Art Director, participate in both studio and on-location shoots, and uphold productivity goals while maintaining artistic excellence. Essential Functions:
Photograph eCommerce and lifestyle photography content, working with internal and external teams
Plan, coordinate, and execute daily photoshoots, including setup and takedown
Ensure proper lighting for all shoots, both in-studio and on-location, and create lighting setups based on reference images
Manage studio equipment and gear, identify when new equipment is needed to achieve our creative goals
Select top images that align with the brand's creative vision and participate in review sessions with Art Director on selects
Stage scenes aligned with creative guidelines and present ideas to the Art Director
Provide direction to photo assistants and digital techs on weekly lifestyle location shoots
Use Google Sheets to update studio shotlists daily
Shoots tabletop photography of shoes, bags, and hats
Adhere to shoot schedules, ensuring all product styles are captured and delivered on time
Follow creative direction on posing, lighting, and set execution
Oversee photo processing, color correction, and digital file organization
Work with Photo Editors and Retouching Vendors to review and refine images
Contribute creative photography ideas and develop CaptureOne treatments
Ensure all images maintain color consistency, sharpness, and proper lighting
Organize and maintain shoot spaces, props, and equipment, servicing equipment as needed
Support additional projects and responsibilities as needed to enhance studio operati

Competencies:
Demonstrated competence with photography, staging lighting, and photo archive management
Ability to interact with talent and provide direction
Ability to transport photography gear to location shoots as needed
Superb organizational and planning skills
Advanced working knowledge of cameras, lighting equipment, and CaptureOne
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with internal and external team members
Maintains knowledge of photography trends in the industry regarding new approaches & technologies
Ability to keep up in a fast-paced shooting and post-production environment
Knowledge of shooting in natural light outdoors, as well as artificial lighting in studio
Ability to assist with troubleshooting technical issues of cameras, laptops, and shooting software
Proficiency with color management
Ability to meet and adhere to deadlines
Proactively identifies any challenges in workflow or processes, flags to Art Director and Producer, and brings potential solutions to innovate our processes
Ability to partner with freelance team members to ensure consistency across imagery
Ability to work in a constantly changing, fast paced, team player setting
Other duties as assigned based upon the needs and demands of the business

Work Environment:
This role will require a mix of both on-site and off-site work. On-site work is stationed at VICI's Downtown Los Angeles studio. Off-site work varies as needed, and may include both outdoor and indoor locations around Southern California
Location Shoots (outside of the studio) occur weekly
This job may require standing, walking, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting for long periods throughout the day; sitting intermittently
Occasionally lift or pull up to 20 pounds

Requirements:
    • Minimum of 5 years of previous full-time experience as an in-house Photographer
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field (or equivalent work experience)
    • Must be able to provide a portfolio showcasing fashion on-model work
    • Advanced knowledge of camera and lighting equipment and CaptureOne
    • Ability to work daily at our Downtown Los Angeles, CA studio and offsite shoot locations


$95,000 - $105,000 a year
