WPH is currently seeking a Senior Healthcare Planner and offering a $10K Sign-On bonus!
The Senior Healthcare Planner is responsible for supporting the Hospital's mission by developing functional space programs and architectural test-fits for volume studies in support of long-term space plans and consistent with current space allocation standards; for developing options and decision-support materials for Hospital leadership's prioritization of capital and space resources; for ongoing engagement in approved projects to help ensure adherence to the project goals and space program, and to incorporate learning into future planning processes and deliverables.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include the Following:
Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors. Space Programming: Collaborate with leadership, clinicians and staff to develop functional space programs for approved projects. Responsibilities include: preparing space planning deliverables using various sources (e.g. surveys, interviews, functional analyses); securing space planning approvals from stakeholders to set goals and meet deadlines; identify swing space to minimize construction impact on operations. (60%) Strategy Alignment & Decision Support: Evaluate space requests and renovations against allocation standards and future plans. Resolve conflicts, assess space efficiency, and address urgent needs. Create volume studies and planning scenarios to aid leadership decisions. (20%) Project Monitoring & Quality Control: Review test fits and initial design to ensure they meet program priorities. Monitor design, construction, go-live and punch list phases for adherence to project goals, address deviations, and secure approvals for changes. Identify solutions for future projects and maintain space allocation standards, documenting exceptions. (15%) Professional Development: Pursue professional growth and development to maintain contact with space-related innovations through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations including, but not limited to developments in benchmarking, space tracking technologies and strategic planning methodologies. (5%)
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree, 4-7 Years relevant experience, healthcare environment preferred.

Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree, 4-7 Years relevant experience, healthcare environment preferred.

- Project management skills include ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, ambiguity and inconsistency. Good team player with excellent organizational, negotiating and motivational skills. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Computer skills include proficiency with Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vision and Projects), AutoCAD.
- Design skills to graphically represent spatial concepts for new projects, including differentiating options and their impacts, and the creation of graphic learning tools and resource for the department.
- Superior information management skills to communicate, explain, interpret, share and/or present information to all levels of staff and external contacts.
- Administrative skills required include attention to detail, time management, information processing, ability to plan ,organize and run meetings.
- Analytical skills include ability to develop, analyze and draw conclusions from statistical data and architectural floor plans; and independently conduct qualitative and quantitative research, analysis and synthesis drawing data from relevant sources.

- May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital's SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital's Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc.
