The AWS DevOps Engineer will be responsible for developing, deploying, and managing GitLab pipelines, as well as automating infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.

Job Description
The AWS DevOps Engineer will be responsible for developing, deploying, and managing GitLab pipelines, as well as automating infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
- Create and maintain GitLab pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
- Automate build, test, and deployment workflows within GitLab to streamline application delivery.
- Debug and resolve issues with GitLab pipeline runs, ensuring smooth automation across environments.
- Write, deploy, and debug Terraform scripts to manage infrastructure as code (IaC) on cloud platforms, primarily AWS.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, including virtual machines, networks, databases, and storage.
- Manage Terraform state files and handle remote backends for team collaboration.
- Continuously improve the automation of infrastructure tasks, ensuring scalability and security.
- Write, deploy, and debug Terraform scripts to manage infrastructure as code (IaC) on cloud platforms, primarily AWS.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, including virtual machines, networks, databases, and storage.
- Manage Terraform state files and handle remote backends for team collaboration.
- Continuously improve the automation of infrastructure tasks, ensuring scalability and security.
- Manage and configure Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.) for optimal performance, security, and uptime.
- Monitor system health, apply patches and updates, and resolve system-level issues.
- Manage user access, security groups, and firewall settings to ensure server security.
- Write Python scripts to automate various DevOps tasks, such as infrastructure management, log aggregation, and deployment processes.
- Create and maintain reusable Python automation modules to interact with cloud APIs and services (e.g., AWS, Terraform).
- Integrate Python scripts with GitLab pipelines to enhance automation and process efficiency.
Qualification
- Active Top-Secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a relate field of study.
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or a related role.
Required Skills
- Experience in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD tools.
- Used Terraform to manage infrastructure as code (IaC) on cloud platforms.
- Created reusable Terraform modules for provisioning cloud resources such as EC2, S3, RDS, etc.
- Experience troubleshooting and fixing issues that arise during Terraform execution.
- Understanding of Terraform errors, handling state files, and addressing dependency issues.
- Experience writing Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks such as data processing, API integration, and cloud resource management.
- Experience with developing Python scripts to manage infrastructure deployment or configuration, complementing Terraform and other IaC tools.
- Wrote Python scripts to validate Terraform output or integrate with external systems.
- Experience configuring and maintaining security settings, firewalls, and user permissions on Linux systems.
- Wrote shell scripts or Python-based automation scripts to simplify server administration tasks.
- Deployed web applications, microservices, and containerized workloads (using Docker) to AWS services like EC2, Lambda, ECS, or EKS.
- Integrating GitLab CI/CD pipelines with AWS services to automate deployments and rollbacks.
- Configured IAM roles and policies to ensure least-privilege access for AWS resources and applications.
- Experience using AWS security best practices for protecting cloud infrastructure, such as encrypting data at rest and in transit.
