The Milken Institute's events and programmatic activities, involve the exchange of ideas with leaders from around the world. The Institute hosts more than 200 events each year, with our annual flagship event, Global Conference, bringing together 4,500+ participants from around the world, featuring more than 900+ speakers throughout 200+ sessions over the course of the event.

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
This position will work in a professional office environment on a hybrid schedule consisting of three (3) days per week reporting in-person to the Santa Monica office location (Tuesday - Thursday), with the remaining two (2) days working remotely. Please understand, this schedule is subject to change at the Institute's sole discretion.
This person will also be required to travel occasionally to other offices and/or venues to assist with events as needed, requiring occasional work outside of traditional hours. International along with domestic travel is possible. Additionally, this position requires interacting virtually on a regular basis with Milken Institute staff based in other locations in the United States and around the world.

Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional website team in strategic development and management of the Institute's web presence, including the primary Institute website, programmatic microsites, and interactive/community functionalities.
- Manage the development, consistency and excellence of content and user experience across Institute websites, working with team members and stakeholders across the Institute to assess web needs, dependencies and cost-effective solutions.
- Work closely with internal and external web development and technology support to ensure seamless user experience, responsiveness to new feature and update requests, and continuous improvement of design and functionality.
- Coordinate with legal and tech groups on data privacy, disability accommodation and intellectual property compliance.
- Design and implement a measurement-based AI roadmap, aligning with the Institute's mission and program priorities, to initially integrate artificial intelligence into content delivery and marketing/communications processes; explore and adopt AI tools, such as content generation tools and data analysis systems, to improve productivity .
- Utilize a whole-of-institute view to identify and build a holistic AI roadmap for other departments and pillars to align with organizational priorities.
- Working with legal, verify that all AI solutions meet security and governance standards and policies.
- Present senior leadership with updates on the latest trends within the AI space.
- Play a hands-on role in managing ongoing project and/or campaign timelines, milestones, plans, budgets, dependencies, deliverables, etc., using data-driven insights.
- This role reports to the Executive Director, Marketing and Communications.
- Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in web strategy and analytics, including UX/UI, information architecture, SEO, CRO, web development, etc.
- Proven track record delivering enterprise web solutions, ideally within the non-profit, think tank, or public policy sector.
- Experience integrating AI solutions across workflows.
- Significant experience in content management systems, including Drupal; knowledge of common CRM and other enterprise-level databases and analytical programs such as Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, GA4, Looker Studio, etc. and others.
- Insights into social media trends and best practices, platforms, and tools.
- Strong understanding of AI and ML technologies (NLP, Deep Learning, and Gen AI), and experience with personalization.
- Ability to lead projects and work collaboratively across diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical and AI concepts into business value.
- Familiarity with ethical AI principles and digital privacy best practices.
- Driven, goal-oriented, strategic thinking with a proven record of delivery and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communicator and presenter with strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
