We are currently searching for an experienced Senior Right of Way Manager to support our Carolinas Region located in Raleigh, NC.

What you'll be doing:
  • Supervises the activity of Agents acquiring land, easements, and other rights for our transportation & utility clients
  • Reviews title reports
  • Responsible for document preparation, ensuring compliance with all State, Federal & Local laws, & regulations
  • Communicates directly with clients - generating regular status and predictive reporting, frequent direct communication to assure timely completion of projects while staying within budget, high level of accountability
  • Successful candidate possesses significant Right of Way knowledge & experience, superior communications skills, and an ability to foster a strong working relationship with the client & team
  • Review site plans and prepare offer packages
  • Maintain the project database
  • Conduct special negotiations with government & other entities
  • Assist Right of Way Manager with project management and staff training & development


What you need to have:
  • Significant Right of Way knowledge & experience
  • Superior communication skills
  • Ability to foster a strong working relationship with the client
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • IRWA RW, RWA, or SRWA certification is a plus
  • Able to use scheduling software
  • Experience with forecasting and projections
  • Review engineering drawings
  • Possesses ability to effectively serve in both leadership and support roles on project teams
  • Ability to listen to the client and translate into solutions that meet or exceed expectations
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Understand and execute oral and written instructions
  • Exhibit high-level self-management skills
  • Perform efficiently and accurately while working on multiple projects
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills, including attention to detail
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
