Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Med Surg
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day/Night Rotating
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience
License: Registered Nurse licensed
Certifications: BLS Certification
Must-Have:
- Experience working with surgical patients
- Willingness to work every other weekend and holiday
- Ability to float to other adult non-ICU units
Job Description:
- Provide direct patient care to general surgical, vascular, cardiothoracic, and plastic surgery patients.
- Utilize equipment such as PCA and Epidural pumps, and work with Telemetry.
- Document using One Chart for all patient-related information.
- Participate in a unit with a bed size of 44, maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 for day shifts and 5:1 for night shifts, adjustable based on patient acuity by the charge nurse.
- Adhere to the dress code of navy blue scrubs with a white undershirt.
- Engage in the every other weekend and holiday rotation.
- Will float primarily to Pulmonary, Cardiology, and Surgical Renal units.
