The Media Manager is responsible for the day to day oversight of paid media campaigns for the US; driving effectiveness, efficiency and innovation throughout our National and Local media plans. In this role, this person will work with the media agency roster to maximize paid media investments while working with internal advertising campaign managers & shopper marketing managers to create and deliver campaigns that are consistent with our marketing priorities. The Media Manager will also be responsible for staying at the forefront of a fast changing media landscape; identifying new media opportunities and ensuring that we are leveraging these throughout all campaigns in order to help us grow our energy drink business, our media properties and our events. This position reports into the Senior Manager, Advertising Media and is based in Santa Monica, CA.

  • MEDIA STRATEGY & CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT

    Develop integrated media strategy for advertising campaigns working closely with agency partners (including: Media Strategy/Planning/Buying, TV, CTV, Digital/Programmatic, Social, Search, OOH, Retail Media Networks) to deliver insightful/effective/efficient plans that deliver on our brand and campaign objectives.

    Responsible for day-to-day campaigns including media optimizations, budget management, and performance monitoring

    Work cross-functionally to ensure integration of Paid, Owned, and Earned media.

    Ensure agencies develop insightful, comprehensive post-campaign analyses and learnings are applied to future campaigns as real-time as possible.
  • BUDGET MANAGEMENT

    Support the Sr. Manager Advertising Media in setting annual budgets across campaigns and initiatives for business planning for both Advertising Media & Shopper Media.

    Maintain day-to-day campaign media budgets, ensuring consistency across the finance and internal media management platforms.

    Ensure timely billing and reconciliation of media activities, working closely with agency partners & cross-functional teams with various billing processes.
  • MEDIA STEWARDSHIP

    Implement digital media best practices to deliver more targeted, relevant, and "data-driven" advertising campaigns, especially via scaling programmatic advertising within the DSPs

    Understand and leverage all data available (Data Management Platform, Consumer Data Base, third party sources, etc.) to improve media targeting efficiency and effectiveness,s and ensure a consistent audience-centric approach.

    Identify, analyze and leverage the latest digital media trends, partners, and emerging technologies, seeking out new opportunities and applying them to our media strategies.

    Understand the ins and outs of Retail Media Networks (Data, Capabilities, Commercial synergies)

    Support the Sr. Manager in developing both Media Partner & Retail Media Network joint business partnership plans annually.
  • MEDIA TRAINING & EDUCATION

    Help develop the in-team expertise across all new media channels, including: retail media network, programmatic, social, search, and addressable TV, including developing Programmatic DOOH and Radi.o

    Provide thought leadership and education to ensure internal Advertising and Brand teams are consistently at the forefront of the ever-evolving media landscape.e

    Create and facilitate relevant Media trainings as needed.


EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:

  • 6+ years of experience in Media/Advertising
  • Consumer or lifestyle brand advertising experience.
  • Strong understanding of all media channels and integrated media planning throughout the funnel (Awareness, Consideration, Conversion, Loyalty)
  • Ability to analyze and extract key insights from data and leverage those insights to strengthen future plans
  • Excellent media partner/vendor management skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet strict/demanding deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization and with agency partners
  • Travel 0-10%
