Minimum Salary: $84,000.80
Maximum Salary:$120,750.55
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $84,000.80 and $120,750.55/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.

Software Engineering Intern - RAG & Automation
About Us: Juniper Networks is a leading innovator in the networking industry, dedicated to developing cutting-edge networking technology solutions. We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineering Intern to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality networking equipment.:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automation scripts to process data generated during the testing of networking equipment.
- Enhance and optimize simulations for thermal analysis of networking equipment to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the testing and engineering teams to identify areas for automation and streamline workflows.
- Investigate and develop methods for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) based querying of component datasheets.
- Analyze and interpret datasheet information to support engineering decisions and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Work closely with the hardware and software teams to integrate querying solutions into existing systems.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data processing and analysis.
- Knowledge of RAG-based querying techniques.
- Previous internship or project experience in a related field.
