This position is for an Audit Manager (an audit professional ready on the cusp of being promoted to Manager level) with expertise in private company audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in audit and reviews, compliance tax engagements, and financial analysis. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage audits, compliance tax engagements, and financial reviews with autonomy.
Plan and execute engagements including budgeting, risk assessment, and scheduling.
Act as a quality control expert, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
Build and maintain long-term client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving.
Provide leadership in special projects such as corporate reorganizations, due diligence, and financial analysis.
Mentor and develop junior staff, shaping the next generation of accounting professionals.
Collaborate with firm leadership to drive strategic initiatives and deliver exceptional service.
Qualifications:
CPA Auditor, CA designation
3 years minimum of Canadian audit and reviews experience within a Big 4 or a mid-size firm on the PRIVATE COMPANY SIDE
Extensive experience in Audit and Reviews
Bilingual in French and English - ability to communicate with diverse clients and teams
Strong proficiency in Excel, Caseware, CaseView, and Taxprep
Exceptional organizational, technical, and multitasking skills
A collaborative, leadership-oriented mindset with a passion for developing talent
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive Salary:
1-3 years at Manager level: $108K - $132K
4+ years as a Manager: $132K - $145K
4-day workweek during summer
3-4 weeks vacation (depending on level)
3 personal days + 5 sick days
2 additional paid days off (Staff Appreciation Day & Yom Kippur)

Must Have:
Candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this role:
Must hold a CPA Auditor designation.
Minimum of 4 years of Canadian audit and review experience within a Big 4 or mid-size firm on the private company side (not public accounting).
Extensive experience in audit and reviews is required.

Candidates should have experience in audit and reviews within a Big 4, mid-size, or boutique accounting firm, specifically on the private company side (not public audits).
