Position Overview:
Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs that help build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills, as well as general independence, to persons with physical and cognitive disabilities as a result of CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, neurodegenerative disorders, etc.
Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers and stakeholders through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication.
Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Provides clinical supervision of assistants and aides and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students.

Pay Range is $60.11 to $75.14 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Job Description:
EDUCATION:
- Other: Graduate of accredited occupational therapy program.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
- OT-Occupational Therapist
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years of clinic experience in treating the neuro population with diagnoses including but not limited to: CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury, degenerative neurodegenerative conditions, etc.
- Proficient in ADL training, neuromuscular re-education, assessment and recommendation for adaptive equipment, custom orthotic design and fabrication, cognitive rehab, and low vision training.
- Experience in mobility seating evaluation and driving screening is a plus.
- SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Critical thinking, complex problems solving, decisive judgement and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.
- Must be able to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirements.
- Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.
- Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.
- Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.
- Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.
