Direct Counsel is seeking an employment attorney to join a globally recognized law firm. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile employment litigation and advisory matters for a diverse client base. The role involves handling complex employment law issues, including litigation, compliance, and transactional work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation for class actions and single-plaintiff cases, including wage and hour disputes, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, breach of contract, and wrongful termination.
- Provide employment law advice and counsel, including drafting and negotiating employment agreements, severance packages, and restrictive covenants.
- Conduct employment due diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
- Handle compliance matters related to employee policies, compensation practices, commission plans, and leave of absence/accommodation issues (FMLA, ADA).
- Represent clients in proceedings before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in Texas.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and employment law, including litigation, advice and counsel, and transactional work.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including wage and hour regulations and anti-discrimination statutes.
- Experience defending class and collective actions and advising clients on employment matters.
- Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Work Model: Hybrid - Regular in-office presence with some flexibility for remote work.
- Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

- Compensation: $260,000 - $435,000
