Description:
Instructs students in reading and/or language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, health, physical education, art, music, and other assigned areas of curriculum, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Education. The level of instruction will be based upon each pupil's reasonable achievement expectancy.
Facilitates the pupil' s development in citizenship, basic communication skills and other general elements of the course of study specified in state law, district policies and administrative regulations and procedures of the district.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of education requirements and procedures for classroom implementation
Knowledge of developmental milestones and learning development
Ability to work as a team member with staff, parents and community
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and oversee developmentally appropriate lessons for students
All other classroom teacher duties
Work closely with parents
CONDITIONS:
Salary - Placement on the certificated salary schedule based on education and years of experience
Salary Range: $57,804 to $114,269 (Based on 2024-25 Salary Schedule - Currently negotiating 2025-26)
Masters Degree Stipend $900/year or Doctorate Degree Stipend $1,000/year
Placement in a Dual Language Immersion classroom Stipend $1,200/year (Requires BCLAD in Spanish)
186 work days per school year
