Position Overview
The Data Architect formulates the data strategy, including standards of data quality, the flow of data within the organization, and security of data. In coordination with department leadership, this position helps to transform educational, business, and industry data into insights that improve student and operational outcomes. Additionally, this role will own key enrollment forecasting for all NLC programs.
*FULL ON-SITE POSITION BASED OUT OF OUR MERIDIAN, ID CAMPUS
*UP TO 10% TRAVEL REQUIRED WITH THIS ROLE
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
Use forecasting, data modeling, and data reporting tools to forecast program enrollments and incorporate market data to continually refine and improve forecasts.
Collaborate with various teams across the organization to mine, analyze, report, and make inferences on educational, business, and industry data.
Analyze, plan, and define the data architecture framework and data mining protocol; to include security, reference data, metadata, and master data dictionaries and definitions.
Create and implement data management processes and procedures.
Translate business requirements into databases, dashboards, data warehouses, and data streams.
Own data storage, interoperability, design, and use, for business dashboard and report needs.
Lead the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
Educate staff via training and individual support of data definitions, use, strategy, and reporting tools such as Power BI.
Effectively engage and manage 3rd party engagements for software implementation, advisory services, and related scope.
Manage technical debt and impact of system upgrades and releases.
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, computer science, data/information science, or a similar field.
Minimum of four (4) years' experience working in a similar role.
An additional eight (8) years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Technical Requirements/ Core Competencies
Ability to present data in a clear and understandable format.
Adeptness to accurately maintain, track, and organize large amounts of information.
Proficient in database design, data modeling and warehousing.
Experience designing and implementing data integration solutions to combine data from various sources.
Prior experience using forecasting and data modeling tools, data structures, data mining, transform languages (Python, SQL), and data reporting tools such as Power BI.
Salary
$98,621 - $109,000 annually, DOE
