Role Overview

The Data Analytics Manager manages the processes of accurate data collection, presentation, and analysis to drive strategic initiatives. This position works closely with the Senior Director, CFO, and other organizational leaders, to ensure data-driven decisions are aligned with the firm's objectives.

Responsibilities

Department Operations
  • Scope, build, develop and maintain data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics in support of business decisions.
  • Support cross-functional projects using data modeling, dashboards and analysis techniques to discover insights that will help guide strategic decisions.
  • Extract data from various sources, clean and transform data to ensure accuracy for analysis.
  • Examine, interpret and report results of analytical insight to Senior Director, CFO and other leaders across the firm.
  • Manage and oversee data and report requests, ensuring efficient tracking of submissions, prioritization of tasks, and proper approval processes.
  • Anticipate future demands of the business and the FPA group and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.


Staff Development, Leadership and Management
  • Participates in interviewing and candidate selection, assimilation, and training of new staff, as needed.
  • Manages hybrid/remote work arrangements, ensuring that all work is performed without reduced productivity or efficiency due to the remote arrangement, maintaining regular communication with the remote worker, and managing agreed upon metrics to measure performance.
  • Provides guidance/coaching to staff members through real-time feedback during the course of day-to-day interactions.
  • Completes performance evaluation process in a thoughtful, fair, and timely manner; ensures development plans are in place to monitor staff growth and make appropriate progress against stated developmental goals; monitors and remediates difficult performance situations and works with Senior Director to take appropriate action.
  • Identifies areas for additional training to ensure that skill levels meet the firm's high standards of excellence; provides guidance and development opportunities to staff members to help them achieve longer-term career aspirations.
  • Holds regular staff meetings to discuss departmental operations issues, firm initiatives, and provide continuing education on policies and trends relating to financial analytics issues.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. Concentration in finance, math, statistics, computer science, information management, or related analytical field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including expertise in data modeling, DAX calculations, and data visualization techniques.
  • Minimum of three experience in visual design, data storytelling, and experience working closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable reports.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite of Tools and ability to quickly adapt to new software and systems. Law firm experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated success in process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), presentation, facilitation, and consensus building skills.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks under time constraints

The base annual pay range for this role is between $155,000 - $170,000 DOE. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also consider internal equity. A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
