Manager Mechanical Engineering

Our client is seeking a Manager Mechanical Engineeringwith 10 years of experienceto sit out of Bingham Farms, MI.

The ideal candidate would experience in designing Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with Project Managers throughout the company to provide appropriate resources to successfully execute projects.
• Establish discipline specific work plans and estimates to complete for department staff assigned projects
• Oversee the production of work product consistent with client requirements and Osborn standards.
• Supervise efficient execution of projects and staff to meet the performance metrics and goals of the department.
• Manage expectations and communications with clients for projects providing engineering and technical support.
• Preparation of proposals and administering project contracts, including Add Service Agreements
• Execute Osborns QA/QC process for the mechanical discipline on projects.
• Maintain backlogs and manpower forecasts to ensure proper staffing levels and department utilization.
• Perform staff resource management and annual reviews including Timesheet and Expense report approvals.
• Assist Human Resources on recruitment and training efforts.
• Conducting business development activities, participating in various trade organizations, and preparing or assisting with presentations.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• 10+ Years Experience in Mechanical Design in Consulting Engineering.
• Excellent Organizational and Communication skills.
• Proactive and Collaborative team member.
• Ability to work and manage several project teams concurrently.
• Ability to promote department and staff career growth.
• Experience in designing Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects.
• Working knowledge of Revit.
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Preferred.
• PE License Preferred.
