About the Role: The Facilities Project Manager oversees all aspects of various facility maintenance and improvement projects; coordinates work activities of contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure satisfactory delivery of assigned projects; tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators and prepares and delivers reports to management; selects, negotiates with, and manages contracts, service agreements, and work authorizations of external consultants or vendors in accordance with KUB Procurement guidelines.
Other duties of the Facilities Project Manager include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead the development of project scope of work, budget, and timeline for various facility projects
  • Solicit and select contractors, related consultants, and suppliers
  • Communicate and provide reports and presentations outlining the project status to management
  • Adhere to all KUB Safety requirements and initiatives
  • Represent KUB to ensure all code compliance is obtained
  • Review and analyze change order requests
  • Review and approve invoices and contractor requests for payment

Qualifications
Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and / or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Physical demands for a specific position within this classification may vary and / or exceed those demands described above. Must be able to climb steps.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • General knowledge of project management
  • Strong communication skills
  • General knowledge of construction methodologies
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license

Preferred Requirements:
  • 5+ years of related work experience in construction, energy, or facilities management
  • Prior experience leading, supervising, or inspecting
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/assignments
  • 2+ years of experience with projects involving HVAC systems, Building Maintenance and Remodeling, General Construction, and Facilities
  • Ability to read construction drawings and understand technical aspects of construction
