Job Title: Constructability Review Specialist (Onsite) - BH# 165254

Pay Rate: $80 to $88 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities
Supporting the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative during the preconstruction phase, including:
Project Scope & Scheduling
  • Assisting in defining and reviewing the Project Requirement Document scope of work and schedule, including interim housing requirements.
Design & Value Engineering
  • Providing value engineering recommendations at the outset of the design phase.
Document Review & Coordination
  • Reviewing design professional deliverables to identify inconsistencies, ambiguities, conflicts, errors, and omissions to reduce RFIs and Change Orders.
  • Ensuring coordination between design disciplines.
Constructability Review
  • Preparing a comprehensive constructability review of pre-bid construction documents.
Collaboration & Coordination
  • Working collaboratively with the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative to align efforts.
Other Responsibilities
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Required Qualifications

Option 1:
  • 15 years of full-time, professional paid experience with an Architecture degree, including:
  • 10 years as a Construction Administrator on public/educational facility construction projects with full responsibility for supporting those projects.
  • 5 years as a Designer.
Construction experience on projects with:
  • A single project construction value of $8M or more, OR
  • A combined cumulative project value of $80M or more.

OR

Option 2:
  • 15 years of full-time paid professional experience as a Project Superintendent or Project Manager on public/educational facility construction and/or large commercial projects, with:
  • Full responsibility for coordinating complex projects.
  • A single project construction value of $30M or more, OR
  • A combined cumulative project value of $400M or more.

OR

Option 3:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of college-level coursework from a recognized college, university, or trade school.
  • Five (5) additional years of experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.

Additional Qualifications
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and confidently.
  • Proficiency in:
  • Writing Requests for Clarifications (RFCs).
  • Reviewing submittals and change orders.
  • Using computer programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, and Bluebeam.

Pay Range: $80 to $88 per hour

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
