The Opportunity

This position is a onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. As a Senior Manager of Portfolio Management, you support the company's product portfolio in North America by managing product launches, product updates, and end-of-life processes, while also coordinating planning processes and ad-hoc strategic projects that maximize the value of the portfolio. This role involves ensuring cross-functional alignment and supporting the product lifecycle from a commercial perspective. The position requires an understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, commercial levers, and financial imperatives to contribute to the portfolio's growth and profitability. This role ensures that the company's product portfolio is positioned for growth and competitive advantage, aligning functions to support the company's vision and business success. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You'll Do
  • Product Launch Coordination: Oversee the planning and execution of new product launches, ensuring cross-functional alignment and readiness across Marketing, Sales, and Market Access teams.
  • End-of-Life Management: Manage the phase-out process for end-of-life products, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to the portfolio.
  • Tactical Planning: Support the development and implementation of tactical plans to achieve strategic goals. Ensure that tactical plans enhance portfolio performance and drive growth. Monitor and analyze the impact of tactical initiatives on portfolio performance, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Ad-Hoc Portfolio Projects: Lead and manage unique, high-impact projects that arise outside of regular duties, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Scenario Planning & Strategic Risk Management: Assist in scenario planning efforts and identifying strategic risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure portfolio decisions are resilient and forward-looking.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate and manage multiple projects and programs within the portfolio, ensuring they are delivered on time and with high quality. Develop and maintain detailed commercial plans, track progress, and report on key milestones and deliverables.


Experience You'll Bring

Required
  • University degree required in business/scientific-related disciplines.
  • Approximately 5-7 years of experience with a successful track record in commercial functions in medical devices
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic business plans, tactics, and managing financials.
  • Cross-functional project management experience is a must-have.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to analyze data from various internal and external sources and translate these into insights for strategic decisions and tactical focus.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and motivational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaboration.

$146,700.00 - $293,300.00
