Role & Responsibilities:
Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting for a Tools & Automation Manager to join our Global Splunk Architect organization. This role is responsible for driving the execution of our automation initiatives, which include expanding application and infrastructure monitoring capabilities, scripting and orchestration of operational recovery activities.
Lead the global team executing the automation efforts in support of our application production support activities
Manage the vision and strategy to execute a program of automation initiatives
Drive the expansion of automation capabilities, including performance monitoring and preventive monitoring
Collaborate with technology leaders across the organization to ensure adoption of standards
Provide leadership and guidance on best practices
Mentor and guide and develop staff. Provide ongoing feedback and encouragement to ensure skills development and engagement
Foster a culture of excellence and ensure optimal output from the team
Lead integration of appropriate tools with core monitoring platform
Maintain and expand the capabilities of an application that provides critical application support information including escalation contact management and server to software relationships
Required Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Engineering or related field
5+ years of directly related experience
3+ years of experience as a technical lead/manager
5+ years of direct experience as a software architect/engineer
Experience with various scripting technologies
Natural curiosity and desire to solve problems, improve quality and innovate
Strong communicator with the ability to interact with and influence senior technology leaders
Knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems (Windows and LINUX proficiency)
Experience with Splunk 8.x / 9.x or similar SIEM technologies
Desired qualifications:
Splunk Admin, Architect, or Architect II Certification or higher is highly desirable
Experience and admin certification with Splunk ITSI and/or Enterprise Security a plus

Salary Range
$150,000 - $200,000
BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
