VPG is seeking a Senior Accountant who supports our General Ledger accounting functions
This is an onsite role in Poestenkill, NY!
Responsibilities
- Execute month-end close processes and prepare financial performance analyses (comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior periods)
- Upload month-end data to TM1 and reconcile with QuickBooks accounting system
- Oversee accounts receivable, including project accounting reconciliation
- Manage fixed asset accounting
- Support the audit process
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and close processes for Dynamic Systems
- Maintain successful compliance with all SOX and Internal Control processes
- Work independently on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative
- Analyze implications of work and recommend appropriate solutions
- Complete other projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience, including full-charge accounting period close
- 3-6 years of related financial accounting experience
- Practical knowledge of non-integrated ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills

- Base Salary: $80,000 - $85,000
