The Advance Driver Assistance Technology (ADAS) team develops state-of-the-art software and algorithms to deliver best-in-class features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and 360 camera systems. ADAS also developed Ford's industry-first Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, securing over 60 patents in the process. The team is responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of these features into production on all Ford vehicle lines.

Responsibilities
What you'll do...
- Lead ADAS Radar and Ultrasonic Applications team
- Work with Design, Body, VE and Chassis to achieve BIC applications for Driver Assistance Technology and Features
- Lead the application of ADAS hardware, software and features for forward model programs
- Lead the ADAS Teams of Four
- Work with the D&R engineers, PMTs, finance, and purchasing organizations to ensure parts are sourced on time and within program budgets
- Manage the packaging and integration of driver assistance components into the vehicle
- Ensure engineering deliverables (AVBOM, WERS, P-Release, eFDVS, Integrator, etc...) are met and aligned with EESE and program expectations for respective program milestones
- Work seamlessly with Vehicle Engineering to ensure system functionality and sign-off
- Manage incoming AIMS through vehicle development process (VP through Job#1) and implement corrective actions
- Identify actions for gap closure (variable cost, tooling, ED&T)
- Resolve quality issues for current model products. Identify corrective actions and implement changes as required
- Support appearance related meetings (AST, Part II, Part I, etc...) as required to balance tradeoffs between studio themes and system performance
Qualifications
You'll have...
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Controls or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years design and release experience or similar
- 2+ years of leading, mentoring or direct managerial experience
Even better, you may have...
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
- Experience with or knowledge of active safety or driver assistance technologies
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes
- Proven design and release engineering experience
- Ability to lead within a systems development framework
- Demonstrated team leadership and motivational skills
- Demonstrated successful launch experience
- Demonstrated experience presenting to LL3+
- Demonstrated experience successfully driving difficult suppliers to clean launches
- Demonstrated planning, presentation, and written skills
- Experience interacting with the design studio
- Recognized as a "go to" engineer who mentors others
