Job Description
The Business Proposal Director participates in new business development within Oracle. The Business Proposal Director plays a key role in long term positioning of Oracle for targeted opportunities. Business Proposal Director's typically manage Business Proposal Representatives, Business Proposal Managers, and Business Proposal Senior Managers. Business Proposal Directors manager manage the resources, processes, and systems associated with the planning, development and production of written responses to formal, competitive solicitations from Oracle clients and prospects. Business Proposal Directors may manage the entire proposal center.
This is a hybrid position that involves a combination of in-office work, time at the client site, and remote work based on demand
The Business Proposal Director sets strategies for organizational growth and development within the proposal organization and ensures alignment of goals and objectives of the broader organization. The Business Proposal Director has broad company knowledge to assure that cross functional organizational communications are cultivated to assure the greatest level of success when engaged in proposal related projects. The Business Proposal Director interacts at the executive level both internally at Oracle and with external partners regarding business proposal strategies. The Business Proposal Director assesses business results related specifically to proposal activity within the sales organizations and develops new approaches and for improving Oracle's ROI in this business area.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
MUST have proven experience in leading successful proposal development efforts, within the Federal Government (DoD and IC experience preferred).
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong project management and team leadership abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in proposal software and collaboration tools.
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
MUST currently hold or have the ability to obtain and maintain US Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities
The Business Proposal Director Develops plans within the proposal team to implement organizational policy and to meet business objectives. The Business Proposal Director manages a highly skilled team of proposal management professionals. The Business Proposal Director interfaces with the highest levels of sales management within the organization. Tasks that Business Proposal Director may perform can include: Recruitment, selection, coaching and development of staff, assign Proposal Manager for the specific proposal efforts, establish proposal quality guidelines, establish proposal quality controls and standards, develop, maintain, and utilize automated proposal management and reporting tools, assist with organizational growth and development aligned with strategic goals and objectives, direct employee performance and development, manages budget and expenses, routinely monitor work produced by team, provide proposal process training, assist sales organizations in all aspects of proposal capture planning, preparation management and production management.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
