Description:

A career as a Senior Manager of the Counterparty Documentation Center team within Financial Markets Operations (FMO) at National Bank involves mobilizing and maximizing the contribution of your employees while ensuring their development and evolution through personalized coaching; ensuring efficient and optimal delivery of our service offering; and continuously improving processes. Your experience in managing personnel, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, and knowledge of Financial Markets transactional systems as well as regulations affecting account opening will positively impact the transformation of our Financial Markets Operations sector.

Your role
  • Manage a team of 9 professionals
  • Oversee activities related to opening of accounts in various Financial Markets transactional systems
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders (Front Office, Compliance, IT, etc.) and ensure ongoing effective communication
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve processes related to daily activities
  • Play a key role in the development, implementation and evolution of controls and tools to achieve high quality standards and minimize operational risks
  • Act as a coach and guide the team members in reaching their full potential by identifying learning and development opportunities while strengthening versatility

Your team

As part of the FMO Counterparty Documentation Center team, you will be on a team of 40 colleagues, and you will report to the Senior Manager. Our team stands out for its commitment, its strong collaboration and complicity as well as its ability to work on several major initiatives at the same time.

Prerequisites
Bachelor's degree related to the sector of activity and 8 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree related to the sector and 6 years of relevant experience
Experience in management of personnel
Good knowledge of Financial Markets transactional systems and products
Good knowledge of regulations impacting account opening, notably CRS/FATCA and trade reporting
Experience in process improvement and automation
Organizational capacity in managing daily activities and the impact of projects
Demonstrated ability in change management

Languages:

English, French

Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec.
