Overview:
Responsibilities:
Implement projects for cost reduction. Oversee quality and reduce customer complaints. Execute process safety, reduce the number of spills, improve process inspection, and prevent actions. Plan maintenance and reduce the number of overdue equipment. Ensure the Compounding Unit runs at targets and delivers continuous improvement in stewardship, quality, and reliability by monitoring processes, products, and equipment to detect and anticipate emerging issues. Ensure proper application of RCA (Root Cause Analysis) process and develop action plans if needed to achieve results. Establish and communicate operating parameters for the 24/7 team and engage the team to identify and remove daily execution barriers. Ensure operation of the unit within environmental permit requirements. Conduct field walkthroughs and provide technical and operational guidance to team members, lead problem-solving processes, and root cause analysis. Tracks unit production, on-stream reliability/asset utilization, efficiencies, energy usage, raw material usage, and develop plans to correct performance gaps. Lead OST (On Stream Time) review meetings with production planning groups to align on the best path forward. Lead weekly operational meetings with reliability teams to review data and ensure the entire team is aligned on priorities. Prepare various types of training material including SIS and Block Stock. Review the data collection processes to ensure data is accurate and identify opportunities to streamline the process. Develop plans for bad actor campaigns and ensure teams are aware of all recommendations. Report production accuracy and efficiency of equipment weekly to upper management. Report monthly KPIs to the compounding unit. Capture environmental information required by the compounding unit. Utilize the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Apply advanced knowledge of process safety including PHA (Process Hazard Analysis), RA/RM (Risk Assessment, Risk Management), and ISO 9001. Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Waste Management and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience in a related occupation ensuring the Compounding Unit runs at targets and delivers continuous improvement in stewardship, quality, and reliability by monitoring processes, products, and equipment to detect and anticipate emerging issues; tracking unit production, on-stream reliability/asset utilization, efficiencies, energy usage, raw material usage, and developing plans to correct performance gaps; preparing various types of training material including SIS and Block Stock; reporting production accuracy and efficiency of equipment weekly to upper management; utilizing the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; applying advanced knowledge of process safety including PHA (Process Hazard Analysis), RA/RM (Risk Assessment, Risk Management), and ISO 9001; and performing RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
